NOFASD Australia is pleased to announce that Simone McKenry will be co-presenting with James Dunne from the Australian Alcohol and Other Drugs Council (AADC) at the Healthcare in Secure Settings Conference 2026, taking place at the International Convention Centre Sydney on 30-31 July 2026.
Their presentation, “Addressing FASD in Custodial and Forensic Mental Health Settings: Advancing Equity, Cultural Safety and FASD-Informed Practice”, will be delivered on:

The session will explore the importance of recognising and responding to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) within custodial and forensic mental health settings, with a focus on promoting equity, cultural safety and FASD-informed practice. The presentation will also highlight NOFASD Australia’s Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and FASD eLearning course, which supports professionals to build their understanding of FASD and improve outcomes for people with FASD accessing services.
