Are you new to the topic of FASD?
Perhaps your child has just been diagnosed with FASD or you are starting to see signs that your child’s behaviours are ‘different’ from what is expected of their age and have started looking for answers.
If you are the parent or caregiver of a young child (up to the age of 5), NOFASD’s new “Starting Steps” program could be the perfect place for you to start!
Delivered over four weeks, each 1-hour session will introduce key knowledge and facts about FASD and also provide information about the resources and supports that are available so that you can move forward with confidence and support your child to achieve positive outcomes.
While providing foundational knowledge to enable you to liaise effectively with health professionals, each information session will also incorporate valuable lived experience perspectives. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions relevant to their child, and also to connect with other caregivers who are sharing similar experiences.
The 4-session “Starting Steps” program is free and will be delivered online in March. Registrations are essential.

Please make sure you indicate that you are interested in the “Starting Steps” program and also include the age of the child for whom you’re caring.
