DIGITAL PASSES – FASD WEB SERIES FOR PARENTS AND PROFESSIONALS

DIGITAL PASSES – FASD WEB SERIES FOR PARENTS AND PROFESSIONALS

*UPDATE: NOFASD Australia was able to negotiate 20 scholarships enabling parents and carers to access this web series for free.

NOFASD’s digital passes were provided to foster, adoptive and birth parents of children, youth and adults living with FASD. These parents said they are hoping to gain increased understanding of their children’s experiences, a deeper understanding of FASD, increased skills and strategies in responding to their children and guiding behaviour, more knowledge which can be used to advocate for FASD and strategies for creating more peace in the home for all family members. Our team at NOFASD hopes this series is valuable and we would love to hear your feedback!

NOFASD Australia has secured a limited number of passes to All in This Together, a 2019 FASD web series by Oregon Behavior Consultation. NOFASD’s free passes are limited to parents and carers but health professionals, teachers and others are also encouraged to attend! Registration costs $50 USD.

Oregon Behavior Consultation provides the following information about the series:

Parents and professionals who support people with FASDs often deal with stressful situations or challenging behaviors. Traditional responses do not work, and finding local support is usually difficult.

Over time, many families begin to feel isolated from their friends, communities, and even extended families. It can feel like you are all alone.

But you’re not. FASDs are the #1 cause of developmental disability in the world, and FASD behavior consultant Nate Sheets has worked with hundreds of families struggling to find support for their loved ones. There are people all over the world who know what you’re going through.

Ten monthly sessions will be presented live during 2019. These will also be available for download, meaning you can watch them at your convenience and pause them when needed. You will also have the opportunity to re-watch each webinar as many times as you want!

If you wish to apply for a free NOFASD digital parent/carer pass please complete this short online application form. Passes will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Places are limited so we request that you only apply if you will be able to watch all ten webinars, leaving this opportunity open for others if you have time constraints or other reasons why you won’t be able to fully benefit.
