| On the 20th of September, during FASD Awareness Month, there was a webinar designed to develop understanding of two common neurodevelopmental disorders – Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Is it important to know the difference? How are they diagnosed? Which is the most prevalent? What is the one question that can differentiate between the two? Can they co-exist? What are the functional impacts for individuals? What is the difference for interventions and supports? These questions and more were addressed in this webinar. Clinicians, parents, educators and community members were encouraged to attend. |
