The National Organisation for Fetal Alcohol Disorder (NOFASD) in partnership with Occupational Therapy Australia presented online training on International FASD Awareness Day.
FASD describes the impacts on the brain and body of individuals prenatally exposed to alcohol. FASD is a lifelong disability.
Building understanding of FASD, will assist OTs to effectively support individuals affected, given the impacts across many domains on their daily life across the lifespan. This may include challenges with motor skills, physical health, learning, attention, emotional regulation and social skills.
